The GPPC typically comprises two representatives from each of the six global member networks. These individuals are selected by their respective Global CEOs and possess significant public policy and/or technical accounting and auditing backgrounds. Additionally, the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) joins the GPPC as an observer.
The GPPC is chaired by a representative from one member network on a rotating basis for a term of two years. The selection of the Chair is subject to approval by all member network CEOs.
Trent is Grant Thornton International Ltd.’s global quality leader and global head of assurance. He currently serves as the Global Public Policy Committee chair. Trent previously served as the Grant Thornton U.S. national managing partner of quality and innovation for Audit Services, overseeing the firm’s technical, ethical and risk management professionals. In that role he managed the development of the firm’s tools and techniques including data analytics, robotic process automation, artificial intelligence and blockchain technology.
